You’re Doing Your Best, Mama – And That’s Enough
Let’s be real—being a mom with ADHD can feel like you’re constantly behind, constantly masking, constantly internally (or externally) losing your mind. You’ve got the mental to-do lists (half-forgotten), the laundry piles (always multiplying), and the constant feeling of being overwhelmed—like you’re one spilled sippy cup or sweater caught on a doorknob away from a full-blown meltdown (yours, not the kids’).
But here’s the thing: You’re doing your best. And that? It’s enough.
Sometimes your best is 110%, sometimes it’s 20%, sometimes it’s just making it through the day in one piece. And all of that is enough!
It’s easy to feel like you’re constantly dropping the ball, especially when ADHD makes it hard to keep everything organized and running smoothly. Nests, post-it reminders, and half-finished projects everywhereeeee. Some days, just getting everyone out the door in one piece feels like a victory (because it is). Other days, it’s about surviving the tornado of snacks, shoes, and underestimated-the-mess art projects without completely losing your mind.
I see you, friend. I see the late nights spent overthinking, the mornings when coffee is your lifeline, and the countless times you’ve told yourself you could be doing more. But guess what? You’re already doing it. You’re showing up for your kids every single day—sometimes that looks like building forts and laughing together, and other times it’s microwaving chicken nuggets and counting down to bedtime. Both are wins.
Remember that while ADHD may add an extra layer of chaos, but it also brings creativity, spontaneity, empathy, and a whole lot of love. You may feel like a mess some days (or like me, most days), but your kids see a mom who loves them fiercely and gives her all, even when it feels like you’ve got nothing left to give.
So here’s your reminder: You got this. You’re enough, just as you are. And even on the days when it feels like everything’s falling apart, remember that you’re still the glue holding it all together. And you’re doing great!
